My name is Brynn Fantuzzi.

Born September 14, 1999, during Hurricane Floyd, I beat my sister into this world by less than a minute.

I recently graduated from the University of Florida (the obligatory: GO GATORS!!!) alongside my twin and three years after our older sister. The Swamp has been a second home to me for the past seven years. I will always treasure the memories I've made there, the friends who have become family, and the immense spirit and camaraderie that comes from attending a big SEC school. I leave Gainesville as a stronger, more confident person with a clear idea of the career path I choose to follow. I take with me an abundance of knowledge gained in the classroom as a public relations major, as well as a plethora of experience acquired throughout my time at Strike Magazine GNV.

Having been certified bilingual in Spanish during high school, I continued my studies in college and earned a  minor in Spanish. Going into a career in public relations, I understand the importance of not only being able to speak the language, but also of having a deeper understanding of the culture of Spanish-speaking people. Unfortunately, because of the world-wide pandemic, my study abroad program in Spain was canceled. However, I was able to spend this past summer there, as well as in several other European countries, where I immersed myself in the local culture and got a chance to put my language skills to the test.

As an avid traveler, I don’t just do the typical touristy things. I like to venture off the beaten path and discover neighborhoods and parks where residents live and play. There, I can engage in conversations with locals to get a better perspective of their views on the world and their opinions on the best places to eat. Which leads me to the fact that I am an avid foodie too. Whether it be visiting foreign countries, traveling across the United States or even just exploring the different neighborhoods of New York City with my very handsome golden retriever, I love discovering new places to eat. I especially enjoy authentic ethnic foods with intriguing flavor combinations. The spicier, the better.

Besides being adventuresome, there are many other characteristics used to describe me as a person:

As a Virgo, I am hardworking, creative, reliable and extremely organized.

As a former competitive athlete, I remain focused, driven, disciplined and appreciate the value of teamwork.

As a Fantuzzi, I am open-minded, respectful and kind, and I know how to throw a great party!

As a public relations person, I am a well-rounded combination of all of the above.

I am proud of all the accomplishments I have had in the last four years, but my proudest moments by far have been those at Strike GNV, a chapter of the largest student-run magazine in the nation. With a diverse staff of creative individuals, we worked together to break conventional standards in image, content and design. We faced the difficult challenges of COVID-19 and came out even stronger. As Strike GNV grew, so did I. From a Public Relations Assistant to the Director of External Affairs, my involvement with this fashion and lifestyle magazine allowed me the opportunity to explore my creative side, and bring my ideas and visions to life. It also provided me the opportunity to hone my leadership skills.

I have always been a fashionista, keeping up with the latest fashion trends and experimenting with my own personal style. My experience working with models and designers on all the photoshoots and runway shows further solidified my desire to work in fashion PR. To supplement my experiences at Strike GNV, and learn more about the fashion industry, I completed a program through Parsons School of Design and earned a Parsons Fashion Industry Essentials Certificate. I am now confident that I possess a strong foundation of skills and knowledge that I can contribute to the world of fashion.

I am excited to see what the future holds.
