ISSUE 04: LET'S PLAY

Strike GNV's Issue 04 spotlights the theme, Let's Play. This issue encourages readers to play as a brief respite from the harsh realities of the COVID-19 pandemic. Each section of the issue addresses a different topic of play, such as playing alone, playing outside, playing with gender, playing dress up, playing with perception and playing together. As the public relations director for Issue 04, I was challenged with the task of hosting the issue's launch event during the height of the pandemic. Instead of one main event, I organized a virtual launch week for Strike GNV's staff members and Instagram followers to stay connected by implementing a six-day interactive online countdown. Each day, Instagram reels and IG Live videos were provided to motivate viewers to interconnect and "play." These videos included skincare and makeup tutorials, meditation and sunset yoga sessions, cooking and cocktail-mixing demonstrations, clothing repurposing and tie-dying lessons, as well as behind-the-scenes conversations with staff photographers and models.
